Rev Tony Hallo

Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1945. Tony Hallo was converted in 1959, aged just 13 years, at a Billy Graham crusade.

From a non-Christian family there were many challenges and trials for his faith. As a child he was trained in piano and played publicly since the age of 11. After conversion he felt a distinct call to the ministry and gladly relinquished any idea of performing as a musical career. He entered Bible college in January 1967, graduating the following year, and in January 1969 commenced his ministry as a pastor at the Ballarat Assembly, one of Australia's oldest A.G. churches.

He married a committed Christian girl, Eunice Chapman, in July 1970 and they have happily served churches in Adelaide (South Australia), Melbourne (Victoria) and at Petersham, Sydney (New South Wales) where they were for 15 and half years.

In the course of pastoring, Tony Hallo has served the Australian AG by being a faculty member with the Commonwealth Bible College (now Southern Cross College, Sydney), visiting lecturer, Directorate Member, and Chairman of that Board.

He has ministered around the world and, in particular, helped forge links in the Ukraine with the Australian churches while that country was still communist. He has ministered for the Assemblies of God World Missions (Australia) for a number of years and he still travels throughout the world (including Ukraine & Iran) and Australia to ministry.

In August 1997, Tony and Eunice Hallo and their youngest son, Christopher, moved to Townsville, North Queensland. Tony was Senior Pastor of the Calvary Assembly of God for 10 years, the church having grown both numerically and in influence. This church complex included a private Primary and Secondary school of some 700 students, and a nationally-accredited and highly regarded Bible College, Logos International Leadership College, that has enrolled a few thousand students in 30 years of operation. Ps. Tony was the President of the Logos International Leadership College Board during his 10 - year tenure. A number of churches have also been planted out of Calvary Assembly Townsville.

Many additional opportunities opened up for Pastor Hallo, such as Radio, to preach the Word of the Lord and to have interviews with people from all walks of life (on his weekly talk-back program). Radio programs were aired for 3 or more hours each week on different radio stations.

Pastor Tony is well respected by the Mayor and City Council of Townsville, and has been asked on a regular basis to open the Council meetings in prayer as well as attending civic functions.

Tony’s vision was to impact the whole city of Townsville, the nation of Australia, and to reach out to the world at large - bringing Christ to all sections and levels of society in any age and with every background.

Since 2007, after fulfilling 10 years as Senior minister of Calvary AOG Townsville, and President of the Logos International Leadership College Board, Pastor Tony has accepted the honour of being the National Coordinator for Operation Exodus, and travels nationally and internationally representing this great Organization.

Since 1986 Pastor Tony has traveled to Russia, Ukraine, the UK, the US, Romania, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, and others. His burden is to encourage the church, equip Leaders, and help prepare and challenge believers for the work ahead.
